セーヌ川沿いを歩く開会式用に設けられた特設観客席があったり、市内の競技会場では慌しく作業が進められています。
7月26日の開会式会場となるエッフェル塔横トロカデロ広場でもフェンスの中で着々と作業が行われていました。今大会は過去のどの大会にも増してテロ対策が課題となっており、主要観光スポットには多数の警察官がパトロールしています。選手団入場に使われるセーヌ川でも7月18日から住人以外は原則立入禁止です。メトロ等公共交通機関の料金は当初はオリパラ期間は無料化にする計画が一転して7月22日から大幅値上げに変更したり、ホテル宿泊費も通常の2〜3倍に便乗値上げしていると批判され地元では前年よりも観光客が減少したと報じられました。観光客の心理は観に行きたいけど、余りに高額なので諦めよう、と言うのか本音でしょうか。
それでも多くの観光客はParis2024観戦を楽しみにしています。私達ボランティアが大会成功に向けて少しでも役立てるならこの上ない喜びです。

There are special audience seats set up for the opening ceremony to walk along the Seine River, and work is being carried out in a hurry at the competition venue in the city of Paris.
It seems that the work is steadily being carried out in the fence at Trocadero Square by the Eiffel Tower, which will be the opening ceremony venue on July 26. 
The counter-terrorism is one of the big issue, so many police officers are patrolling the main tourist spots. Also between 18 and 26 July, non-residents are not allowed to enter the Seine River area, which is used for the entry of the athletes.The original plan was free during the tournament for the public transportation such as metro, however it was changed, the fare will increase significantly from July 22.
Also the hotel accommodation fee is now  criticised for raising the price by 2-3 times the usual price.
So that the number of tourists decreased compared to the previous year reported by the local media
